Our Story

There's a smell you can't quite place. It hits you in a hotel lobby, or on a morning walk along a beach you only visited once. A forest trail after rain. A small town you stumbled into without planning to stop. You don't look for it. It finds you. And for a few seconds, you're somewhere else entirely.

That's what this brand is built on.

In 2018, my wife and I spent a week at a resort in Florida. Every time we walked into the lobby, it had its own scent. Something clean, faintly green, quietly familiar. It wasn't dramatic. It was just there, every time we came back from a long day. It meant we were back. Then we came home, and that scent we'd come to count on every time we walked through the lobby was gone. The trip was over. The feeling didn't have to be.

She didn't want to let that feeling go, so she went looking for something that could bring it back. The first time I walked through our front door and smelled it, I was back in that lobby. Not thinking about it. Actually back there, for a moment.

That's when I understood what a scent could do.

Not long after, she asked me to try making candles for our home. I sourced materials, tested everything, threw out what didn't perform, and kept going until I had something I could genuinely stand behind. When the holidays came around, she wanted to share them with her friends as gifts. They came back asking for more. That was enough to know this was worth sharing.

I've run a small business for over fifteen years. What that experience teaches you, more than anything, is that quality is a decision you make before anything ships. Not a word you put on a label afterward. If I can't stand behind it, it doesn't ship.

Everything we make is hand-poured in the Finger Lakes region of New York. Made to order. Not mass produced. Phthalate-free fragrances. Soy wax. None of that is an accident.

I started this chasing a feeling I didn't want to lose. I hope you find yours in the box.
